Benefits of the Gong

A Gong Meditation is a sound therapy practice that involves playing gongs in a manner that evokes healing frequencies and vibrations. Sometimes referred to as a “gong bath” or “sonic massage”, a Gong Meditation “bathes” recipients in meditative sound waves. The gong’s vibrations “massage” the cells as the gong resonates with each of us individually. This highly personal and transformational meditative experience will benefit your whole Self – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.


Sound therapy has long been used to manage a broad range of health conditions. It is based on the acknowledgement that we are all connected through vibration. Factors such as stress, depression, anxiety, and dis-ease (disease) lower our cellular vibrations, providing opportunity for viruses to attach to our cells and cellular lining. The gong is a powerful, supportive way to raise our vibrations, restore harmony back into the cells, and energetically bring the body back into alignment.

Multiple gongs and mallets are used to bring out the full spectrum of beneficial vibrations and frequencies.

Because a gong bath raises the frequencies of our cells, working deeply with the cells of our muscles, bones, organs, glands, and nerves, the gong can shake loose emotional chains and limit negative mental patterns. Through allowing ourselves to receive a gong bath, we have the opportunity to provide ourselves with amazing self-care. Showing up is all you have to do; the gong will do the rest! The body knows what feels harmonious and will tune into what it needs most during the meditation.

A Gong Meditation is a very gentle practice. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.  Hydrating afterwards will assist the body in its detoxification. Sound has the power to transform and elevate.
